It came back

My scanner works again, after having just died the other day. I’m happy that I don’t have to get a new one already, but the elation is marred by a more somber, disquieting fact:

I have no contingency plan for dealing with a zombie scanner.

I’m coping, but the Coke is terrified.

7-Star Challenge Week 4

Nothing I can say will help make any more sense out of this picture.

I am fairly sure, however, that many years later this image will be heralded as a pioneering example of…something.

Painting wins

Painting is really giving me a hard time these last few days. I’m putting the hours in (oh man, am I), but I’m not producing anything worthwhile. I had no idea that my little cube practice was going to end up being the best thing I’d make all week, but it’s shaping up to be just that.

I am not giving up. Technically I’ve already completed my challenge entry should I decide to use the Happycube; the pressure is off, at least. Anything else is a bonus. Still, I’d like to make something a little more polished if I can. I will keep on working right up to the deadline and see what I can do.

I must be learning something. Doing something I already know how to do wouldn’t be so painful, right?
