I fixed my PHP and styled the comments, so the 4 of you who visit my site can now complain retroactively about the lack of a commenting feature right here on my blog! Yay!

7-Star Challenge Week 10

madam_sm

I’ve completed 10 weeks of the 7-Star Challenge. I’d like to thank the remaining vestiges of laziness for backing off just long enough for me to key in on my artistic weaknesses (backgrounds), while still preventing me from actively doing anything about it. Thank you, you interminable piece of crap.

This is Madam Red from Kuroshitsuji, an interesting manga about a demon butler. It is also the only book I feel comfortable sharing in mixed company that has “shit” in the title.

7-Star Challenge Week 9

blackrock_sm

My version of “Black Miku” from the song/video Black Rock Shooter. She’s a piece of software that sings.

I just realized I really can’t adequately explain this.

(above: All questions can be answered with a combination of Wikipedia and YouTube)

This was originally a bonus piece (or, bony), but I am so swamped with illustration jobs this week that it is going to double as my 7-Star entry. I may have some more to post by the end of the weekend, client permissions, um permitting.

7-Star Challenge Week 8

useless_sm

Above: The Viewmaster reel my parents refused to buy me as a child.

I’ve been doing a lot of freelance this week, which means that while being totally busy with art and just generally being a gem, I still can’t actually SHOW you any of it until the images are approved. That in mind, I decided to create another, dedicated 7-Star Challenge piece.

On a suggestion from my wife, it comes in two flavors: regular, and succubus.

I’ll be uploading the full-body image later this week. Possibly colored.

Trivia:
Vampire teeth and pupil-less eyes cost 2 more kb than normal eyes and teeth. Don’t get ripped off at the exchange.
