Can attack

Just a little expansion on yesterday’s exercise. Added some more anatomy (still didn’t finish building the legs), some speculars, and that can, which is kind of proof-of-concept for an observation I’ve made about color*. God, I wish I’d been able to take more color theory in college. There are dudes way younger than me that don’t have to go through all this guesswork.

Incidentally, if anyone knows a good (no really, a GOOD) book on color theory, specifically where the effect of light on color is concerned, let me know. I’ve checked out a bunch, and hardly any of them talk about real-world applications — it’s all the stuff I already know about complements, triads, and analogous color schemes. I don’t need more color-association theory, I need to know what happens to [color name here] when [color name here] light hits it.

Anyway, no big version tonight. Think I’ll hold off until it’s “done”. I plan on doing the rest of the line art tomorrow — might even put some clothes on the poor gal.
