Now with 50% More Roundness

I’ve made some tiny repairs to the site to make the rounded corners look better. I know it was driving you crazy.

I forget periodically that I built most of the site when my from-scratch HTML and CSS skills were in their infancy, so I don’t look at it with a critical eye as often as I should. There’s still a lot of wonkiness I want to address with alignments and whatnot (my original stylesheet is an exercise in horror).

Will I actually fix these things? Probably. I may just do a whole site revamp and save myself the trouble of fixing what’s going to be rebuilt anyway.

But these are thoughts for men who don’t have another 10 characters to unlock in Dynasty Warriors Gundam 3.

Fixes, May 2010 Edition

A happy accident today at work made me realize the problem with my RSS feed. It was a one-line fix in my php. Now the 6 of you can open my feed in FF and IE! Yay!

Also note that this is probably the only time I will ever say “IE” and “yay” back to back.

This weekend I got rid of some redundant links and fixed the old redirects on my splash page (which I’m thinking of killing off entirely), and I’m going to try to get a working sitemap so I can expand my readership* to 7 or 8 people.

Somewhere in there I’m also going to become a better artist, get all the Achievements in Condemned: Criminal Origins, and graciously decline Michelle Yeoh’s heartfelt marriage proposal.

I mean, I’m flattered, but come on, Michelle. You know I’m a happily married man… you foxy, butt-kicking mama, you.

*I will totally settle for lookership, by the way. Don’t feel obligated to actually read.

Am I SFW?

It's not what it looks like. Oh. Actually it is.

It's not what it looks like. Oh. Actually it is.

It has occured to me that while I generally think of my portfolio/blog site as family-friendly, it actually does have some artsy nudity (or nothing-left-to-the-imagination outfits), some buxom lasses, and the odd swear word here and there. And of course, the thumbnail for this entry, which is a swear word away from being all of the above.

Still, I don’t know if that constitutes “objectionable” material. I’m certainly not offended by bustiness*. I also don’t draw pornographic material or discuss it in my blog, current blog post notwithstanding. Actually, this is shaping up to be my most risqué post ever, which should tell you something about the propriety-level of this site. I’d need to make major life changes just to upgrade to softcore.

You have to understand: my mom visits my site. Anything I post here is something I feel comfortable enough knowing Mom is going to see. So while she is certainly not timid, anything you see on here is still tame enough for my dear mother to view. Hell, my mom can probably handle more than me; I’m the one who’s embarrassed to go any further.

Having said that, I don’t think I need to tag nude or near-nude posts with NSFW** labels. Save for the above. Again.

But I’m not everyone, and I don’t know where the 12 of you (hi, fans!) are when you visit my site, so if you have an opinion, feel free to comment. It’s safe to say that my thumbnail pics will occasionally contain a nippleless boob or two.  Maybe even three. If this concerns you (the presence of boobs, not the odd quantity), let me know.

But you’ve been cool with it so far, so I don’t what your problem is! Oh, I’m sorry. Emotions are running high.

Complainers take note, though: you will have to live with the stigma that you’re not as tough as my mom.

Oh, and hi, Mom. Love you.

*Or lack thereof. I am an equal-opportunity bust enthusiast.

Minor updates, and RSS broken in IE

Made some minor fixes to the site’s styles and PHP, but just learned that the RSS link only works in FF and Safari(!). Apologies to any IE8 viewers;  that may have been broken this entire time. I’ll have that fixed by tomorrow.

Not sure why I felt the need to post this; I could have told all of you in person in less time.

Attention, Humans

Many apologies to the people who have actually commented on my blog and gone unrecognized; your posts were under a giant stack of robot spam, and I only dug you out today.  I think I’m going to have to install a Captcha. This makes commenting a little more annoying, but I’ll be able to respond much quicker.

Speaking of responding, I am also on Twitter, where I post about site updates and miscellaneous stuff (usually anime, modeling, art, or some combination thereof; it’s always PG-13 at the worst). Follow me!
